PCOE 5902 - Mentoring Quality Matters: Supporting Ohio’s Continuum of Teacher Development


This course is a professional development workshop comprised of three modules that focus on the role of mentoring during teacher preparation and induction. Development of pre-service teachers and beginning teachers is addressed from the Professional Internship through the Resident Educator Experiences. The Continuum of Teacher Development and Ohio’s Seven Standards for the Teaching Profession for P-12 educators are referenced. This course cannot be used toward any Ohio University degree.

Learning Outcomes:
  • The learner will be able to apply knowledge and skills about mentoring in professional settings.
