PCOE 5904 - Teacher Quality Matters: Co-Teaching in P-12 Schools Workshop Description: The purpose of this 5 module workshop is to help develop ways that current educational professionals can utilize teacher candidates in supporting and improving P-12 student learning through a co-teaching framework. A primary outcome of the workshop will be the design and development of projects that can be used as exemplars for other mentor teachers and increased comfort with and implementation of co-teaching strategies. This course cannot be used towards any Ohio University degree requirements.
Requisites: Credit Hours: 1.0 lecture Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated. Lecture/Lab Hours: 1.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: F,CR,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to apply multiple co-teaching strategies.
- Students will be able to demonstrate some level of proficiency with the identified co-teaching models through video representation.
- Students will be able to develop or modify existing units and lesson plans to include the utilization of another adult in its implementation.
