Program Overview
The Master’s program in Educational Research and Evaluation (EDRE) is intended to prepare graduates for more advanced study of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods and for roles in research organizations. Students have the flexibility to develop an interdisciplinary understanding of the field of educational research and evaluation. The thirty (30) required hours can be completed by a full-time student within one year.
This major is intended to allow students the flexibility necessary to develop programs that meet their individual needs and interests. In addition to EDRE 5010 – Introduction to Research Methods (unless replaced with an equivalent course) and the Culminating Project, students typically are expected to take the graduate courses chosen in consultation with their advisor to furfil their Program of Study (POS), but ultimately should develop a program designed to meet their individual goals.
