Program Overview: The Master of Music degree in Music History and Literature requires a minimum of 30 semester hours of graduate work. The program of study includes a variety of course offerings that enables the graduate student to design a program suited to his or her individual professional needs. The M.M. in Music History and Literature requires a written thesis. In addition, the student is required to demonstrate reading ability in at least one foreign language. An oral examination of the degree candidate is a requirement in the degree program.
