Juniors with a 3.0 GPA in all work may elect to pursue their own program of study that includes the seven core journalism courses plus a sequence of journalism courses to equal 45 or more hours. The sequence must have the approval of the student’s advisor and the director of the E. W. Scripps School of Journalism. Formal application is necessary.
All journalism majors complete a basic 25-hour core of seven courses. A grade of C or better is required in all core courses.
