HIST 3400 - African Intellectual History Studies the interaction of ideas and concepts with their social environment and shows how ideas in the sciences, humanities, and arts interact with social realities. Will examine the development of various ideas in different African historical and cultural contexts. Discussions will address the question “What does it mean to be human?” and the various answers to that question that different African civilizations have developed over time.
