C S 680 - Advanced Topics in Artificial Intelligence

Advanced topics in artificial intelligence (AI) are studied. The concepts of heuristic search and know ledge representation are studied in detail to provide a firm grounding in AI. Then an advanced topic will be studied, such as machine learning, natural language understanding, computer vision, and/or reasoning under uncertainty. The emphasis is to illustrate that representation and search are fundamental issues in all aspects of artificial intelligence.
