Program Overview

The Recreation Management minor prepares students for professional opportunities that can include careers in municipal recreation (parks and recreation), event planning, campus recreation, resort recreation, military recreation, non-profit agencies, and more. Students engage in curriculum that aims to develop their understanding of the knowledge, skills, and best practices associated with the recreation and leisure service field. Students gain valuable experience in programming, area and facility management, marketing, and event planning. The minor is intended to complement other fields of study related to recreation management.

Opportunities Upon Graduation
