The B.F.A. degree program prepares the individual for future work in the field of dance and related professions by encouraging the realization of individual artistic potential through the integration of creative, physical, and intellectual processes. It emphasizes modern dance choreography and performance, and it includes theoretical, historical, and practical studies in dance.

Degree Requirements
The B.F.A. in Dance Performance and Choreography major program requires a minimum of 192 credit hours. General Education/Tier requirements credits are 45-50 credits. Dance core studio requires 78 credits, plus additional history and theory courses. A senior capstone experience requires six credits taken over two terms. Freshman - Credit Hours: 50–60

- Electives Credit Hours: 6–9
Sophomore - Credits Hours: 48–60
