VICO 1414 - Introduction to Visual Communication Skills: Design An introduction to information architecture, information design theory and principles, production techniques using industry specific software for both print and web.
Requisites: C or better in VICO 1000 and VICO major & Warning: No credit if taken after VICO 1014 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 2.0 lecture, 2.0 laboratory Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to describe basic information architecture.
- Students will be able to select and apply appropriate design theory and principles for both print and web.
- Students will be able to identify information architecture in published works.
- Students will be able to apply basic information architecture to information presentations.
- Students will be able to select and apply appropriate production techniques using industry specific software for both print and web.
