VICO 2435 - Visual Communication Picture Editing Students explore theory, principles and practices of picture editing with an emphasis on rhetoric and persuasion within the context of visual communication. Additionally, students investigate visually-driven content origination to broadsheet and sequential presentation of images in both print and electronic formats.
Requisites: C or better in VICO 1000 and C or better in (VICO 1021 or VICO 1421) and C or better in (VICO 1014 or VICO 1414) Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to describe and apply appropriate picture editing rhetoric and persuasion.
- Students will be able to apply effective visual content origination.
- Students will be able to apply photojournalism skills to the selection of communication photographs.
- Students will be able to make sequential image arrangements that meet industry expectations.
- Students will be able to articulate and apply appropriate communication ethics decision-making protocols.
