PHIL 4921 - Applied Ethics An examination of the relationship of applied ethics to ethics as a branch of philosophy, a survey of major areas within applied ethics (medical, business, journalistic, etc.), and a consideration of selected problems in each area.
Requisites: 2 Courses in (PHIL 1300 or 2350 or 3300 or 3310 or 4300) Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 seminar Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Student wll be able to perform a consideration of selected ethical problems in each area.
- Students will demonstrate a knowledge of the relationship of applied ethics to ethics as a branch of philosophy, a survey of major areas within applied ethics (medical, business, journalistic, etc.).
