PHIL 4140 - Analytic Philosophy

Selected topics in contemporary Anglo-American philosophy.

Requisites: 4 Courses in PHIL
Credit Hours: 3
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.

Learning Outcomes:
  • Students will learn the history of analytic philosophy by studying philosophers such as Frege, Russell, Moore, Wittgenstein, Ayer, Austin, and Putnam. Students will become acquainted with various styles of philosophical methodologies.
