DANC 2230 - Intermediate Dance Composition I Choreographic studies to enhance the student’s understanding and appreciation of the creative process by developing the concepts of rhythm, space, and dynamics into longer, more detailed studies.
Requisites: DANC 1231 Credit Hours: 2 Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 4.0 hours. Lecture/Lab Hours: 4.0 studio, 2.0 laboratory Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to assemble phrases into longer, more complex structures utilizing a variety of music and sound choices.
- Students will create phrases having rhythmic, spatial, and dynamic phrasing.
- Students will develop new movement materials through the use of improvisation, movement manipulation, and variation.
