AT 3693 - Musculoskeletal Movement in Performing Arts A study of the demands placed on the human body in dance, music, and theater from musculoskeletal perspectives that include kinesiology, biomechanics, and healthcare. Anatomy, kinesiology, and biomechanics will be utilized to identify movements and possible injury mechanisms in performing artists. Case studies will be used to highlight appropriate musculoskeletal training protocols for selected injury prevention and to illustrate the role of healthcare practitioners in preventing and caring for musculoskeletal injuries in performing artists.
