PHYS 427 - Electricity and Magnetism

Circuits and electric and magnetic fields. Topics on field sources, potentials, Gauss’ law, polarization and dielectrics, magnetic induction. 3 lec, 1 rec.

Prerequisites: (PHYS 253 OR 315) & (MATH 340 OR 440)
Credit Hours: 4
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken an unlimited number of times, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
