HIST 375 - World War I Covers the origins of the war, both diplomatic and strategic, as well as the peacemaking afterward, but the central focus will be the war itself: the major offensives, Allied and German strategies and tactics, trench warfare of the Western Front, chemical warfare, the war in the air and on the seas, the home front, the use of the machine gun and the tank.
Prerequisites: SOPH OR JR OR SR Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken one time excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
