HIST 323D - History of Brazil This course will explore the history of Brazil from the colonial period until the present. Combing classic and recent scholarship, and well-known literary works, it will focus on major historiographical debates that have shaped perceptions of Brazilian history, society, and culture.
Prerequisites: SOPH OR JR OR SR Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken one time excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
