DANC 270 - Dance: From Spectacle to Everyday

From the dance spectacles of kings and queens, to the elegant beauty of Swan Lake; from the early feminist work of Isadora Duncan, to postmodern site-specific works like Walking on Walls; this course considers how dance performance has influenced and been influenced by its social and cultural environment.
