CLWR 485 - Religious Experience: An Interdisciplinary Approach Familiarizes the student with a range of academic approaches to the study of individual religious experience. Central questions are addressed from an integrated, multidisciplinary standpoint that includes perspectives from scholars in seven major world religions, Philosophy, Phenomenology, Comparative Religion, Sociology, and Psychology. Many types of religious experience, including the numinous, the noetic, the ecstatic, and the mystical are examined. Prerequisites: JR OR SR
Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
