ART 2511 - Principles of Graphic Design and Illustration Applications


This course introduces students to the use of industry-standard digital applications for graphic design and illustration. These applications are explored through exercises and assignments geared toward experimentation and personal expression. With an emphasis on digital literacy and the fundamentals of graphic design, students learn basic terminology, gain comprehension of the visual language, and study the history of graphic design and illustration.

Requisites: ART 1200 OR VICO 1414 AND SOPH, JR, SR
Credit Hours: 4
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.

Lecture/Lab Hours: 2.0 lecture, 4.0 studio
