Marketing is the lifeline of any firm; it connects the organization with its customers. The marketing major prepares students for a variety of career opportunities in sales, product management, marketing research, retailing, advertising, business-to-business marketing, international marketing, digital marketing, or other aspects of the profession.
Students who major in marketing must complete at least 18 semester credit hours of upper-division courses in marketing. All marketing majors are required to take professional sales, marketing research, consumer behavior, and marketing strategy. The curriculum is revised frequently to keep pace with the changing business world.
