Overview

The Department of Engineering Technology and Management has a long and rich history of preparing graduates for careers in business and industry. Most graduates of the Department are employed in engineering or management roles as “productivity improvers” in the manufacturing environment.

Accredited by the Association of Technology, Management and Applied Engineering, the B.S. in Engineering Technology and Management combines technical content with courses in General Education, quantitative sciences, natural sciences, and business management, to prepare graduates for technical-management positions in manufacturing organizations.

Common starting job titles include: manufacturing engineer, quality engineer, process engineer, applications/sales engineer, production manager and operations manager.

In addition, all students complete a minor in business, which has proved to be a tremendous asset in both getting the job and advancing within the organization.
