ENG 6560 - Rhetorical Traditions & Histories Examines rhetorical traditions and histories operating within North America with a focus on how those traditions shape writing pedagogies and instruction
Requisites: Graduate Standing Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 4.0 seminar Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to identify the canons of rhetoric in 21st-century contexts and apply them to their own composing process.
- Students will be able to identify and examine connections between historical rhetorical practices and theories and contemporary writing pedagogies.
- Students will be able to articulate how rhetorical traditions reflect and shape cultures.
- Students will be able to conduct scholarly reseach and synthesis using primary and secondary sources.
