ENG 6590 - Research Methods in Rhetoric and Composition Provides an introduction to empirical methods for the study of a writer’s products, processes, and social contexts.
Requisites: Graduate Standing Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 4.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to identify, explain, and evaluate essential research findings about writing practice and development.
- Students will be able to employ ethical decision making in research design.
- Students will be able to articulate the possibilities and limitations of common qualitative research methods in Rhetoric and Composition.
- Students will be able to design and implement empirical research projects, including composing their relevant texts.
