ENG 6570 - Digital Media in Composition Studies Examines the impact of computers and digital media on writing and communication more broadly, on the nature and boundaries of texts, and on writing pedagogies.
Requisites: Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 4.0 seminar Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to identify and articulate major historical developments of digital media in Rhetoric and Composition.
- Students will be able to identify and employ theoretical approaches to and scholarship on digital composition in ways that recognize the methods of established scholars.
- Students will be able to integrate digital media scholarship and composing practices into pedagogy at the level of assignment design.
- Students will be able to compose in multiple modes of digital media.
- Students will be able to practice critical reading of digital media texts through rhetorical analysis.
