SASM 6800 - Research Methods in Sports Administration This course reviews statistical applications and research in sport administration. Topics include foundational statistical concepts, survey design, presentation of research results, and uses of research to address issues in sport.
Requisites: Admission to COB graduate or certificate program or permission Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,CR,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to explain descriptive, univariate and bivariate statistical methods and techniques to analyze collected data.
- Students will be able to demonstrate skills in developing a research plan for solving problems in sports.
- Students will be able to integrate graphic illustrations in research reports.
- Students will be able to design a questionnaire or survey.
