Introduction to the subfield of American politics.

Learning Outcomes:
  • Knowledge and understanding of the significant theoretical and substantive frameworks that shape the American politics subfield in POLS.
  • The ability to describe, discuss, and evaluate the extent to which the American polity lives up to its democratic ideals.
  • The ability to do advanced research and writing on a topic in American politics selected by the student.
