Political institutions and processes and major political developments in China, with emphasis on recent events.

Learning Outcomes:
  • Describe and explain the basic histories and current challenges faced by the government of China.
  • Identify the causes and consequences of key moments of social, economic, and political change that have taken place in China.
  • Understand and explain the key political institutions that govern the politics of China.
  • Use theories of comparative politics and international relations to analyze and explain political outcomes in China.
