PSY 5710 - First-Year Seminar in Experimental Psychology This course introduces first-year experimental psychology graduate students to research and training in experimental psychology.
Requisites: First-year Experimental Psychology Graduate Student Credit Hours: 1 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 1.0 seminar Grades: Eligible Grades: F,CR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to contribute to a discussion of psychological research and in doing so demonstrate an ability to comprehend, synthesize, and critique psychological research.
- Students will be able to describe the research being conducted by experimental psychology faculty.
- Students will demonstrate an understanding of the academic and practical skills needed for success in their area of experimental psychology.
- Students will be able to prepare a grant proposal.
- Students will be able to articulate career goals as well as a plan for attaining those goals.
