PSY 7926 - Practicum in Teaching of Psychology Mentored teaching experience for graduate student instructors in the Department of Psychology.
Requisites: PSY 7960 and concurrently assigned to teach Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 6.0 hours. Lecture/Lab Hours: 4.0 practicum Grades: Eligible Grades: F,CR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Demonstrate competency in teaching a psychology course, e.g., course design and delivery and student assessment.
- Develop a plan to improve teaching skills.
- Develop a plan to improve the course, e.g., the course structure, policies, and materials.
- Develop effective teaching materials for the psychology course being taught by the student.
- Identify strengths and weaknesses of the instructor and the course.
- Successfully address problems and issues that arise during the semester.
