PSY 7635 - Training & Development This course is designed to introduce students to the psychological theories, research, and application of learning, training and individual development. The course will focus on adult populations, but research from other populations (e.g., children, animals) may be reviewed. The course will also focus on application in organizational settings.
Requisites: PSY 6111 and 6610 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 seminar Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,CR,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Articulate the major learning theories in psychology that apply to training in organizations.
- Conduct value-adding research in the areas of learning, instructional design, and organizational training and development evaluation.
- Describe the issues related to learning in organizational and institutional settings.
- Develop a training curriculum using the principles learned in the class.
