PSY 6730 - Fundamentals of Clinical Assessment Introduction to personality and psychopathology assessment, including psychometric properties of measures and criteria for selecting among assessment tools; professional issues and professional roles related to assessment; practical experience in clinical interviewing and mental status assessment; administration, scoring, interpreting, and writing results from basic personality and psychopathology measures.

- Demonstrate clinical interviewing skills.
- Demonstrate scientific, theoretical, empirical, contextual, and developmental understanding of personality and psychopathology constructs and how they are operationalized by several assessment instruments.
- Demonstrate understanding of professional issues and roles (e.g., consultation, forensics) and ethical issues for psychologists conducting assessment.
- demonstrate knowledge of psychometric theory and application of psychometric knowledge to assessment data.
