MATH 6520 - Experimental Design Randomization, blocking, Latin squares, balanced incomplete block designs, factorial experiments, confounding and fractional replication, components of variance, orthogonal polynomials, response surface methods.
Requisites: MATH 5510 Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - ANOCOV models to data sets.
- Be familiar with other important designs.
- Rigorously analyze one-way and two-way ANOVA models and their variations.
- Understand most important techniques for experimental design: replication; randomization; blocks; etc.
- Understand the connection and difference between ANOVA and a regular full-rank linear model.
