AT 6350 - Sport Injury Risk Assessment


This course examines the role of risk assessment in screening and prevention of injury as related to advanced athletic training practice. Topics include the analysis of data to investigate and describe the determinants and distribution of injury, disability, and health outcomes.

Learning Outcomes:
  • Students will be able to analyze the role of injury risk assessment in advanced athletic training practice.
  • Students will be able to identify and discuss current injury risk assessment concerns related to injury, injury trends, and risk factors.
  • Students will be able to calculate and interpret the measures and rates of injury.
  • Students will be able to critically evaluate interventions to address injury status, athletic training services, and health outcomes.
  • Students will be able to apply injury risk assessment principles to sport risk reduction.
