AT 6400 - Evidence-Based Care in Athletic Training I
Focuses on an integrative, data driven, and patient-centered approach to the prevention, evaluation, and treatment of head, neck, and upper extremity injuries.

Learning Outcomes:
- Students will be able to identify and appraise evidence to inform diagnostic, intervention and prognostic practices.
- Students will be able to critique research study designs in order to appraise the validity of integrating current evidence into clinical practice.
- Students will be able to identify valid and reliable clinical outcomes instruments for use in practice.
- Students will be able to implement patient and clinician rated outcomes instruments in clinical practice.
- Students will be able to analyze patient and clinician rated outcomes to inform patient care plans.
- Students will be able to apply the basics of value based healthcare to clinical practice.
- Students will be able to demonstrate appropriate record keeping when documenting patient progress and healthcare value.
