EDCP 6400 - Theory to Practice College Student Affairs Seminar I This seminar prepares students for professional practice by engaging participants in scholarship informed reflections on their field-based experiences. This is the first course in a three-semester series.
Requisites: Students must hold graduate assistantships or internships in higher education administrative area. Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 seminar Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,CR,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to apply student development and environmental theory to administrative experience.
- Students will be able to describe how to apply professional competencies.
- Students will be able to describe the purposes of multiple functional areas in students affairs.
