COED 6115 - Foundations of Coaching II This course exposes students to a models-based approach to coaching and its application to coaching athletes at the youth, interscholastic, and intercollegiate levels.
Requisites: COED 6110 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to explain the rationale of a models-based approach to coaching.
- Students will be able to compare and contrast a models-based approach to coaching to their current coaching practice.
- Students will be able to assess the viability of adopting a models-based approach to coaching.
- Students will be able to justify the adoption of a models-based approach to coaching.
- Students will be able to design coaching curriculum and instructional episodes based on a models-based approach.
