RHT 3700 - Introduction to Casino Management An overview of the Casino Operations and Management, including: history of gaming, uses of cash flows within destination and repeater-market casino properties; casino organizational structure and job duties; gaming regulatory structure; slot operations; protocol of the following games: baccarat, twenty-one, craps, roulette, three-card poker, and fan tan. Also featured are the applications of casino marketing.
Requisites: MATH 1200 and RHT 1100 and (Jr or Sr) Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Describe the organizational structure and job duties of the positions within casino operations.
- Identify primary sources and uses of cash flows within destination and repeater-market casino properties.
- Increase your understanding of casino marketing activities directed at both hosted and unassigned players (i.e., players without hosts).
- Understand slot operations, including strategy and slot anatomy.
- Understand the basics of state gaming regulatory structure.
- Understand the operating protocol of popular table games, including Chemin de Fer, Baccarat, Black Jack, Craps, Roulette, Three-card Poker, and Fan Tan.
