REC 3460 - Parks & Protected Areas Management Provides students with an understanding of the principles and practices of parks and protected areas management.
Requisites: Soph or Jr or Sr Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. - Demonstrate an understanding of the history, principles and philosophy of parks and protected areas management.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the role of parks and protected areas in overall strategies for sustainable development within the broader context of conservation, sustainability, and ecosystem management.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the structure and organization of parks and protected areas management agencies in the United States and internationally.
