EDSP 5990 - Nature and Needs of Students with Gifts and Talents This course addresses the characteristics of students who are gifted, creative, and talented. Content focuses on what it means to be gifted and the variability with which students present their gifts and talents.
Requisites: Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to identify the characteristics of students with gifts and talents.
- Students will be able to describe how children can be identified as twice exceptional.
- Students will be able to identify the social-emotional challenges experienced by students with gifts and talents.
- Students will be able to advocate for more equitable identification of students with gifts and talents.
