Develops skills for executing research and scientific writing through a capstone project.

Learning Outcomes:
  • The student will be able to demonstrate the ability to construct a research manuscript ready for publication.
  • The student will be able to describe the basic research process and techniques that are generally applicable to the student’s area of study.
  • The student will be able to describe the basic statistical analyses used in research.
  • The student will be able to perform the basic statistical analyses used in research.
  • The student will be able to apply American Medical Association style policies for reference citation and manuscript formatting.
  • The student will be able to demonstrate the manuscript submission process for a scientific journal.
