COMS 7510 - Quantitative Research Design in Communication This course focuses on practical and conceptual skills necessary for conducting high-quality quantitative research in communication. The course covers survey and experimental designs that are particularly relevant to communication studies.

- Describe the types of hypotheses and research questions that quantitative research is most equipped to answer.
- Understand and apply ethical research practices.
- Develop appropriate hypotheses and research questions for quantitative studies in communication.
- Construct effective research designs.
- Develop measures and instruments which will yield reliable and valid results.
- Critically evaluate quantitative communication research.
