ISE 5395 - Cognitive Engineering Addresses the human capabilities and limitations in information processing, learning, perception and attention, and applications of this knowledge to the analysis and design of human-machine interfaces in the work environment.
Requisites: Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to describe methodologies used in research for cognitive engineering.
- Students will be able to define ways of evaluating human computer interaction and improving systems.
- Students will be able to describe basic principles involved with the discipline of cognitive engineering.
- Students will be able to list principles of information processing and how they relate to modelling cognitive systems.
- Students will be able to use common tools for cognitive modelling of work processes.
