EDTE 8200 - Research and Curriculum in Elementary Education Reading Critical evaluation of literature and recent research on objectives, content, and methodology. History of instruction, current problems and issues, recent trends and emphases in teaching practices. Impact of dominant theories of learning and philosophies of education.
Requisites: EDTE 7200 Credit Hours: 3 - 10 Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 10.0 hours. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 seminar Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,CR,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Candidates will develop an in-depth understanding of the issues, methodologies, current problems, trends, research, history, and theoretical underpinnings associated with some component of reading/literacy instruction in grades Pre-K–9.
