EDCT 7964 - Advanced Seminar in Instructional Technology - Philosophy of Instructional Technology


Introduces new philosophies in instructional technology and their application in higher education. Provides an advanced examination of learning theory, philosophy in the field of instructional technology and instructional design.

Learning Outcomes:
  • Students will be able to develop a philosophical framework for the delivery of technology applications within higher education.
  • Students will be able to identify the impact Web tools and applications has had on the development of a philosophy for learning with technology.
  • Students will conduct research on the philosophical position of faculty in higher education and their use of technology for teaching and learning.
  • Students will examine new philosophies for the integration of technology applications in higher ed.
