CE 6620 - Transportation Design I
Fundamentals of route design (sight distance, horizontal and vertical alignment, superelevation), design of interchanges and intersections, access management issues, roadway elements (pavement markings and signage), and economic considerations.
Requisites:
Credit Hours: 3
Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken.

Learning Outcomes:
- Students will be able to design interchanges and intersections.
- Students will learn about roadway elements such as pavement markings, signage, utilities, and e.t.c.
- Students will learn how to locate elements such as roadside barriers, bridge railings, crash cushions.
- Students will review fundamentals of route design (sight distance, horizontal & vertical alignment, superelevation).
- Students will understand access management issues.
