THAI 2120 - Intermediate Thai II Culture based approach to increased language proficiency. Students continue to develop listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills as they study diverse history and customs of Thai speakers.
Requisites: THAI 2110 Credit Hours: 4 General Education Code: 2CP Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 4.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - The student will be able to demonstrate his or her knowledge of how to use Thai conjunctions, special adverbs, two-word verbs and particles, and be able to develop linguistic skills through skill-based activities.
- The student will be able to differentiate between Thai formal from and informal discourse.
- The student will gain a general understanding of the entertainment culture in Thailand, including movies, plays, songs, and traditional games.
