CONS 6500 - Consumption Theories This course provides an overview of theories and research in consumer behavior. The class focuses on how and why people engage in choosing, buying, using, and disposing of goods and services in the apparel, textile, hospitality, and tourism industries.
Requisites: Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to identify and evaluate key substantive and methodological issues in the area of consumer behavior research.
- Students will be able to describe key research findings in their area of study.
- Students will be able to conceptualize, design and implement original consumer behavior research.
- Students will be able to identify opportunities to advance theories and innovate methodologies in consumer behavior.
