MBA 6920 - MBA Experiential Learning Applied learning experience in which students consult with various real organizations. Students set appropriate project scope, identify business problems to address, analyze the organization’s current situation and context, and recommend solutions.
Requisites: Admission to MBA program Credit Hours: 1 - 12 Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 12.0 hours. Lecture/Lab Hours: 11.5 practicum, 0.5 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,CR,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Demonstrate awareness of a client firm’s competitive prospects, industry, and market(s).
- Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with project manager(s), clients, and project team members.
- Employ tools, models, and academic knowledge and analyze the contexts and challenges facing clients.
- Generate high-quality project deliverables, including as appropriate: written reports, presentations, business tools, and other items as requested by the client.
- Identify and describe business problems facing the client, and propose a prioritized order in which to address those problems.
- Manage time, deadlines, and competing project demands appropriately.
- Recommend useful, relevant, and appropriate solutions to a project’s focal problem(s).
